We strive to be an economically responsible company here at Pixel Internet, and as such we have put into place a number of corporate initiatives in order to improve the sustainability and green credentials of our service. We consistently attempt to avoid unnecessary waste or use of resources at Pixel Internet; trying to minimise any negative environmental impact of our business.

Responsible Recycling

Pixel Internet has a company-wide policy designed to minimise waste; ensuring all hardware and rubbish is disposed of responsibly, according to WEEE regulations. This includes the recycling of paper, cans, cardboard and plastic. All of our billing, internal and external communications are completed via email or digital fax, ensuring that Pixel Internet remains a paperless office.

Carbon Offsetting

Pixel Internet have a corporate policy to minimise its carbon footprint as much as possible, and as such has implemented a range of initiatives designed to off-set our carbon use. This includes a committment to planting more than 100 trees over the coming year through sponsorship of the International Tree Foundation.

Green Hardware

We make use of a cold aisle containment system at our datacentre here in the UK. By completely separating hot and cold air flows, cooling efficiency is improved by up to 40%, reducing the environmental footprint of our services. We make use of a managed power system to ensure that idle hardware does not consume resources unnecessarily.
